About the experience

If you dream of one day being able to fly a helicopter into the skies over somewhere near you, this is the perfect experience to get immersed in the aviation world and learn the practical skills that can go towards your commercial pilot licence. Throughout your time at Goodwood you will be accompanied by some of the best pilots around as all are licensed through the CAA as Aircraft Operator Certificate holders and some have been teaching here since 2001 when the training school was established. Although this is a two hour session in total, we recognise how tiring it can be when you’re learning so you have the flexibility to fly once in the morning and then in the afternoon to give you the chance to digest everything. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to master hovering, sideways flight and take offs and landings by doing repetitive circuits as this is the best way to learn. If helicopters have always been your passion, or you know someone who never stops daydreaming about choppers, this is the ideal experience as not only will you be based at this famous venue, but receive expert training from some of the best pilots around,
