About the experience

For a guaranteed adrenaline rush through the skies, why not try Gliding for the first time? With this introductory session you will be given a brief history of the sport including being shown what rigging and launching entails before you experience 3 aerotows from at least 2000ft. If you’re feeling extra adventurous your instructor may even let you take control of the glider once you’re in the air. Newbies to the sport are always blown away by the unique sound of silence that coincides with sweeping through the air, so although you will experience an initial burst of adrenaline, once steady it will feel like the most peaceful experience in the world. Taking off from Crowland Airfield gives you spectacular views of the Peterborough and surrounding Cambridgeshire countryside as you see this area through new eyes. Not only is gliding an exciting sport, but a unique way to explore an area near you.
