About the experience
Explore the winding, narrow streets of Oxford and immerse yourself in this scholarly city from the air with a flying lesson in a motor glider or light aircraft. Oxford is one of those cities where it’s easy to get lost in as you take in the stunning architecture amongst the tourist crowds and get entangled in the winding streets. However, with a flying lesson you not only get a unique appreciation for the sights from an incredible height but can escape the hustle and bustle of the crowds. In this lesson, you’re instructor will take control of the difficult parts so you won’t have to worry about mastering take off and landing right from the word go. But as soon as you’re airborne, the controls will be handed over to you as you simultaneously drink in the fabulous views and enjoy the sensation of flying in an aircraft piloted by yours truly. With this experience, you get the choice of two aircrafts to fly. You can either opt for the Diamond HK36 Super Dimona motor glider that, quite literally, flies itself as it can operate with or without engine power or a classic microlight aircraft which are ideal for beginners learning to fly. However you choose to personalise your experience, it’s safe to say not only will you be in the best hands here, but will enjoy an educational flying lesson amongst some of the most spectacular scenery around.

Information
- The airfield is near Chipping Norton around 15 miles North West of Oxford, within easy reach of Banbury and Bicester
- The airfield has good access via junctions 9 or 10 of the M40
- Spectators are very welcome, the club is proud of its friendly atmosphere
- There is a clubhouse on site with an outside viewing area overlooking the runway, drinks and snacks can be purchased on site
