About the experience
Learn how to become the master of aerobatics in this trial lesson in a Slingsby T67C Firefly taking off from Blackbushe Airport in Surrey. These aerobatic aircrafts are known for their brilliant visibility, great responsiveness and perfect panel layout which makes them ideal for training. After the pilot has steered through take off and shown you the basic controls and aerobatic moves, everything will be over to you. But don’t panic, you can play the flight by ear as the pilot assesses your ability. After you’ve mastered the roll or loop, you may well move on to trying some more complex manoeuvres. This will be the real test for whether you find the aircraft as responsive and smooth as everyone says. However, if you find it harder to get the hang of, our expert instructor will always be on hand to guide you or take the reins if needed. So, after whizzing through the skies and enjoying the view from new angles, you’ll fly back down to the ground and have a debrief with the instructor. Of course, no experience really happens if you don’t get a picture, so there will also be an opportunity for you to pose alongside the aircraft afterwards. If you’ve ever wanted to go up in an aerobatic aircraft and be shown how to loop and dive in the skies, this is the ideal, hands on experience for you.
