Get to know the Derbyshire countryside with an exciting 60 Minute Microlight flight from Darley Moor Airfield near Ashbourne! Not only will you get to enjoy the unique thrills of flying through the skies, but indulge in everything that's on offer at this site, as it's not just an airfield! Here, you'll find all sorts of aerial activities and even a race track, so even if the whole family isn't flying, there's a host of activities to keep them occupied whilst you whizz through the skies! This school lets you choose between a flex or fixed wing microlight, giving you the flexibility of choice and whether you want to embrace the natural elements or not! Both microlights are easy and comfortable to fly, perfect for beginners who are just starting out on their flying journey. Your expert instructor will lead the way, showing you all the controls and running you through the safety briefing before you leave the ground, so rest assured you'll be in the best hands. Once airborne, you have the choice over how much you do - if you just want to sit back and take in the sights that's more than okay, but if you're feeling the itch to fly yourself, the instructor will hand over the controls to you too. Soaring over the beautiful Derbyshire hills, there's nothing quite like a microlight flight to get you appreciating this diverse landscape.

- Take your lesson in either a fixed wing Ikarus C42 or flexi wing microlight
- A safety briefing and introduction to the aircraft and equipment used
- Once airborne you will be given the option to take the controls and fly the microlight yourself or simply sit back and enjoy the views
- Time flown can be counted towards a qualification

- The minimum age is 14 years old
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
- A sturdy pair of ankle boots and warm clothing are recommended
- Spectators are welcome
- There are designated viewing areas around the flying school allowing friends and family to see you in flight
