About the experience
Discover the unique charm of this quaint airfield on the Suffolk coast with a 60 Minute Helicopter Flying Lesson from Aerodrome. Steeped in rich aviation history, this airfield was established in 1944 as a USAF base and was also home to the RAF Coastal Command. Today, it offers an array of Helicopter Flying Lessons and is a modern flying centre run by passionate instructors. Lessons have been taking place here since 2010 with an impressive fleet housed in the hangar including 2-seater R22s (what you'll probably be flying in for this lesson) 4-seater R44s, Cabri G2s and various other microlights. After a brief introduction, you'll take to the skies in no time. During your flight, you'll get to explore the Suffolk coastline near Lowestoft and hover above the countryside fields, all while learning to fly alongside an expert.
