About the experience

Get yourself strapped into a seat with history in this Vintage Flying Experience in a Harvard T6 Warbird. The history buffs of you will be familiar with this mighty plane that mostly graced the skies of the United States during World War 2, as it was used to train pilots before they entered the conflict. But its use doesn't end there, as Britain even used these Harvard's in North Africa as combat planes. Now, you can explore them from Compton Abbas Airfield in Dorset. Once all set up and the safety briefing has been covered, you'll get to decide with your instructor on your flight path before taking a seat in this historic aircraft. From there, you'll be soaring up to 800ft above sea level and be treated to incredible views out over the Dorset coastline. Whilst soaking up the sights and listening to the hum of the unmissable Whitney Wasp engine you'll be well on your way through the skies and the instructor will offer you the chance to have a go with the controls yourself. Although this is primarily a flight experience for you to be a passenger, most pilots will be more than happy to teach you a thing or two about how to fly this Warbird. Aviation history lovers won't want to miss out on this unique experience, so get yourself booked in today!
