About the experience
Now this is a flying experience by the seaside with a difference, as you've got the chance to take a 30 minute flight in a Gyroplane from the famous Art Deco styled Brighton City Airport in Shoreham-by-Sea! A fabulous flying day to enjoy during the summer months, if you've not heard of gyroplanes - or gyrocopters - then basically it's flying open cockpit in an aircraft that's a bit like a helicopter. The RotorSport UK MT-03 gyroplane you'll be flying in is one of the very best, so you'll get to take in some incredible views over the East Sussex coastline and Adur estuary, spectacular vistas of Brighton, Worthing and the sea, feel the sea breeze in your hair and the sun on your face! Lloyd, who's the head instructor at Brighton City Airport is your pilot on this experience - he was formerly in the Royal Navy and has been passionate about flying gyroplanes ever since. There will even be an opportunity, if you're up for it, to take the controls and fly it yourself under his guidance as well!

Information
- Minimum age 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
- Maximum weight 16 stone
- You must be between 4'6" and 6'4" (137cm and 193cm)
- You need to be agile enough to get in and out of the gyrocopter
- No previous flying experience is required
- Please seek medical advice if you have previously suffered a heart condition or other medical complaint such as back or neck problems
- Spectators are welcome to watch your gyrocopter flight
Minimum Age: 14 years
- Weekdays and weekends throughout the year (from August 2024)
- All flights are subject to weather conditions
- Comfortable outdoor clothing and closed toe footwear should be worn
- It is also recommended you bring gloves to wear on the flight
