About the experience
As the weather starts to heat up and we enjoy longer days and brighter mornings, it’s safe to say you’ll probably start to hear more microlight flights gliding over the sky near you. If you’ve ever been stopped in your tracks and watched them glide overhead, you’ll probably have appreciated the ease to which they move through the sky at a relaxing speed. The Cyclone AX2000 you’ll be learning how to fly in this 30 minute session is not dissimilar, in fact, it’s known for being a brilliant learner plane because of its side by side seating and central control stick. Flying out of Brown Shutters airfield, a small runway in the Somerset countryside, you’ll be looked after by one of their enthusiastic aviators. All of our instructors are highly experienced and knowledgeable, but you’re in for a special treat if you get Brad who has accumulated many hours of flying in a microlight including being a member of the British team in various flying competitions. Rest assured you will be in a safe and capable pair of hands as you take to the skies and get used to the controls. In no time you’ll be appreciating the stunning views and flying will become second nature. If you’ve always wanted to learn to fly but been unsure where to start, this package is nothing short of ideal for beginners.
- Microlight flights from Brown Shutters Airfield
- Fly either a flex or fixed wing microlight
- Take off from this private airstrip near Bath
- You may take your lesson in either a fixed wing Cyclone AX2000 or Pegasus Quantum flex wing microlight
- A preflight safety briefing, introduction to the aircraft and equipment
- Once airborne you will have the option to take the controls and fly the microlight yourself or simply sit back and enjoy the views

- Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
