Experience the best in ultralight flying and earn your wings at the edge of Essex. We offer various flight packages at Damyns. If you're serious about learning to fly, our three-hour pilot starter pack, consisting of three one-hour lessons, is highly recommended. Our introductory lesson is perfect for you if you want to test the waters. And for those wanting to explore cross-country capabilities, the Isle of Wight land away option is ideal. The Alpha Trainer, classified as a microlight, may surprise those unfamiliar with the latest in light aircraft. Thanks to its lightweight design using carbon fibre and Kevlar, it's both practical and stylish. The aircraft's roomy cabin, large windows, and absence of wing struts make take-offs and landings at this Essex aerodrome a dream for both pilots and passengers. Equipped with dual controls and a centrally located throttle quadrant accessible from both seats, these light aircraft are designed with your ease of use in mind. They are also reliable, easy to maintain, and relatively inexpensive to operate. No wonder our London-based school has invested heavily in the Alpha. 3 Hour Pilots Starter Pack
- A series of three 1 hour flying lessons in a modern Light Sport Aircraft
- Each lesson will start with a classroom briefing with your pilot in addition to the flying time
- A pilots log book and aircraft inspection checklist
- Each of the lessons will be logged and can count towards the total hours needed should you wish continue studying for a Private Pilots Licence

- Minimum age 14
- Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
- Maximum weight 15 stone
- Location: Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Essex
- Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, subject to availability and weather conditions
- The airfield is closed from the 20th-31st December
Minimum Age: 14 years
- All lessons can be logged and can count towards a private pilots licence
- The lightweight Sport Aircraft used here are classed as microlights
- Spectators are welcome
