An American biplane built in the 1930s, it started out as a trainer plane for the United States Air Force and the Royal Canadian Air Force prior and during World War 2. Between 1930-1940, over 10,000 were made and used to aid the war effort.

When the conflict was over, thousands were auctioned off on the civilian market and went into use for crop dusters, sports planes and then were used for aerobatics and wing walking. You’ve only got to look at the two wings stacked above another to see these biplanes are perfect for wing walking, as well as the open cockpit and tandem seating which means this aeroplane is also ideal for learning to fly in.

With an extensive history in the US and Canada, and features that mean it’s ideal for aerobatic flights and wing walking, the Boeing-Stearman Model 75 should be on any adventurous flyers list to have an experience in.
